Webcast Seminars for Round 2 Application to NTIA and RUS
Broadband Stimulus/National Broadband
NTIA, RUS will broadcast 2 workshops for Round 2 Application for Stimulus(Broadband USA 1/22/10) NTIA and RUS will be webcasting two of their technical assistance workshops for any potential applicants who cannot make it in person. RUS will stream its Broadband Initiatives Program live from Portland, OR on Tuesday, January 26, starting at 9:00 am PST (12 noon EST); NTIA will stream its Broadband Technology Opportunities Program live from Denver, CO on Friday, January 29, starting at 9:00 am MST (11 am EST). Both webcasts will be archived and available for reference 3-5 days after streaming.

Update as of January 15, 2010Press Release: Commerce Department's NTIA and USDA's RUS Announce Availability of $4.8 Billion in Recovery Act Funding To Bring Broadband To More Americans.  NTIA and RUS have released separate Notices of Funding Availability for the second and final round of the Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP) and the Broadband Initiatives Program (BIP).  These Notices are being provided for informational purposes only.  If there is any difference between these documents and the Notices officially published in the Federal Register, the Federal Register Notices are controlling.  RUS Round 2 NOFA;  NTIA Round 2 NOFA;  BTOP Fact Sheet.

- WASHINGTON – The Department of Commerce's National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) today announced that it has awarded grants to fund broadband mapping and planning activities in Iowa, Montana, New Hampshire, Utah, and the U.S. Virgin Islands under NTIA’s State Broadband Data and Development Grant Program.  Please click here for more information..

Update as of December 23, 2009 - WASHINGTON – The Department of Commerce's National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) today announced that it has awarded 15 grants to fund broadband mapping and planning activities in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Tennessee under NTIA’s State Broadband Data and Development Grant Program.
