Simply Green Biofuels Named November “Innovation Rocks!” Award Winner

PORTSMOUTH – The creation of New Hampshire’s first biofuels only station and “congrenience” store has led to Simply Green Biofuels being named the “Innovation Rocks!” Award winner by the New Hampshire Division of Economic Development’s Business Resource Center for the month of November.

Located at 547 Central Avenue in Dover, the new Simply Green store will feature gasoline made with 10 percent ethanol and biodiesel. It will also be stocked with at least 75 percent of its inventory coming from within a 100-mile radius of the store.

Biodiesel is a liquid fuel that can replace regular diesel fuel. Made from vegetable oil, it  can run diesel engines that are commonly found in larger vehicles such as trucks, buses, or boats. Regular diesel fuel particulates can cause cancer. Using biodiesel fuel, or blending it with regular diesel fuel, can reduce the production of these cancer-causing emissions.

“Simply Green is a company that is a perfect example of a New Hampshire company that is doing well by doing good,” said New Hampshire Business Resource Center Director Roy Duddy. “Simply Green has a true dedication to not only assisting local residents in reducing their carbon footprint, but to supporting other New Hampshire businesses that are creating socially responsible products. They deserve all of the praise in the world for doing the right thing.”
