The end of summer brings an abundance of fresh New Hampshire produce and products to markets and farm stands throughout the state. To help promote these NH-grown and raised foods, the New Hampshire Farm to Restaurant Connection has coordinated a series of special dinner events at selected New Hampshire restaurants throughout the state.  These "Growers" Dinners,” held annually between June and November, feature menus in which every course consists of local foods. These special events not only provide customers with a unique dining experience, but also help raise awareness for the quality, variety and availability of local products throughout New Hampshire.

Today’s consumers are more aware and concerned about the sources of their food supply making locally produced foods very significant. A restaurant’s promotions of local foods both enhance the restaurant and the farm/food business while helping to maintain New Hampshire’s economic and rural landscapes.

Below is the remaining schedule for 2010:

September 12: Lunch at Home Hill Inn, 703 River Rd., Plainfield, NH, 675-6165, http://www.homehillinn.com/

October 18: Grappone Center, 70 Constitution Ave., Concord, NH, 225-0303, http://www.grapponeconferencecenter.com/
